“We cannot remain indifferent”: “Civinity” donates vehicles to support Ukraine

AS “Civinity Mājas,” in collaboration with “Civinity Group,” has launched a joint initiative to support Ukraine by donating vehicles to deliver humanitarian aid. The initiative was developed in close cooperation with Lithuanian colleagues and with Deividas Jacka, Chairman of the Board of the “Civinity” Group.

While the war in Ukraine has been ongoing for more than four years, practical assistance remains critically important. Vehicles are among the most essential resources in Ukraine – they are used for humanitarian aid deliveries, evacuating people, and performing other critical daily functions.

Saulvedis Vārpiņš, Co-chairman of the Latvian Defence Lawyers Society, also took part in the handover of the vehicles; he coordinated the aid and will ensure their delivery to Ukraine. “Initiatives like this remind us that aid to Ukraine is not just words or good intentions – it is concrete action that can provide much-needed support in everyday situations. We see how important it is right now to stand by them and help with concrete actions,” notes Saulvedis Vārpiņš.

Deividas Jacka, Chairman of the Board of the “Civinity” Group, emphasizes that support for Ukraine is the group’s shared position: “We cannot remain indifferent to what the people of Ukraine are experiencing every day. Solidarity today means not just words, but practical action. This initiative once again confirms that the “Civinity” Group in the Baltic States is united not only by business goals, but also by human values and social responsibility.

We have also seen drone incidents in Lithuania and Latvia in recent weeks. The enemy’s goal is to create fear and chaos and weaken support for Ukraine. By doing the opposite – by continuing to help – we demonstrate our resilience, unity, and strong will!”

Meanwhile, Edgars Jelagins, Director of Operations at AS “Civinity Mājas,” notes that such initiatives are important not only as a symbolic gesture but also as practical assistance to people living under wartime conditions every day: “We see that Ukraine still needs continuous support. The donation of vehicles was made in close cooperation with our colleagues in Lithuania, and we are pleased to have provided assistance promptly. At times like these, it is important not to stand on the sidelines and to help where it is needed most.”

Lithuanian entrepreneur Karolis Sankauskas also participated in the handover of the vehicles; he regularly goes on charity missions to areas near the front lines, personally delivering aid to those living in the most dangerous zones. One of the cars was donated to support his humanitarian missions.

“Civinity Mājas” and “Civinity Group” note that they plan to continue participating in socially significant initiatives and seek opportunities to provide practical assistance to Ukraine.
